Brief History Of The Term "Kaizen"
"Kaizen" (Ky'zen) meaning Continuous Improvement, is a Japanese philosophy that was initially implemented into business during the 1950s, shortly after WWII. During this time, Toyota Industries Co. Ltd (the automobile manufacturer) began implementing their "Toyota Production System" based on the philosophy of Kaizen. This innovative system focused on making continuous improvements to quality, technology, productivity, and safety through small incremental changes in Toyota's processes. The success of Toyota's new system lead to many Japanese businesses adopting similar Kaizen-based systems, which later resulted in a number of them becoming one of the most efficient companies in the world. It wasn't until 1986 that this philosophy, used widely in Japanese businesses, was introduced to businesses in western countries. Today, a number of businesses around the world implement principles of Kaizen to some degree, and many successfully operate solely around the philosophy of continuous improvement.
Why "Kaizen" Fitness
While sitting in a college business class, the term "Kaizen" was mentioned in reference to Toyota Industries Co. Ltd (the automobile manufacturer). Since then, there has never been a better way to describe the philosophy of how health, fitness, & life should be approached.
Kaizen Fitness is a principle which represents the unwavering commitment to continuously improve upon all aspects of ones health, fitness, & performance. It's a choice to make this commitment and a rewarding accomplishment if you can keep it!
Our Approach To Training
At the core each person is built alike, however, the specific needs, desires, abilities, rates of development, and methods of understanding differ from one to the next. Our approach takes each of these factors (along with others) into consideration when constructing personalized programs best suited for each individual, group, and/ or organization. In addition, we've designed our approach to offer flexibility without compromising thoroughness and accuracy. Our programs are designed to instill in each client our core training principles of education, performance, & recovery.

"To get exactly what you want may require an unrelenting will to work for IT; a sacrifice only few have endured. However, the process of earning IT will often mean as much, if not more, than the victory itself!" -Rick Trevino-
